As an experienced chemical manufacturer who carries out hazardous reactions, we are convinced that exacting standards are required to protect both human and natural life. The company's environmental protection policy is based on the Responsible CareŽ (RC) programme. Responsible CareŽ is the worldwide chemical industry's voluntary commitment to continual improvement in all respects of Safety, Health and Environmental performance (SHE). Its principles are followed by every employee for protection of human beings, environment and production facilities. DOTTIKON EXCLUSIVE SYNTHESIS joined the RC programme of the Swiss Society of Chemical Industries (SSCI) in 1992.
The company is conscious of the fact that its industrial operations and activities can affect the environment. Our company policy makes Safety, Health and Protection of the Environment a top priority. Our aim is to minimize theoretical risks and impact to the environment by application of the highest technical standards. Efforts in this regard include:
- Development of low-waste processes
- In-house treatment of toxic waste water with a specifically designed activated carbon adsorption process, followed by a final biological treatment in an external municipal waste water treatment plant
- Waste gas treatments, adapted to chemical, technical and legal requirements
- Incineration of wastes and waste water, incompatible with our activated carbon treatment, in an on-site rotary kiln
- Specialized lab for water, air and waste analyses
